Hyperscale: when the campus runs to hundreds of megawatts

At hyperscale, the challenge is not any single system. It is holding quality and schedule discipline across hundreds of parallel workstreams, often with multiple general contractors, thousands of trade workers, and repeating scopes that should get faster with each building but frequently do not.

Hyperscale builds represent the bulk of active PGCIS work. We understand the delivery model: repeating designs, aggressive deployment schedules, and owners who need predictable turnover dates because the capacity is already committed. Our Quality in Action™ program was built for this environment. We provide commissioning authority, quality program management, and construction management for hyperscale clients across the full range of testing phases, from factory acceptance through full load under live conditions. We sit inside the delivery team rather than alongside it, which means problems get resolved at the cost of construction, not the cost of commissioning.

Segment

HPC and AI: high density, low tolerance for error

You are installing GPU clusters at 30 kW to 200 kW per rack or higher. The cooling infrastructure required to support that density is less standardized and less forgiving than what a traditional air-cooled facility requires.

Commissioning a liquid-cooled AI cluster requires specific expertise in thermal management validation, coolant distribution unit sequencing, leak detection and containment, and the interaction between liquid and air systems in hybrid environments. Errors here do not just delay commissioning. They risk damaging equipment that can cost tens of millions of dollars to replace.

We have worked across direct-to-chip, single-phase immersion, two-phase immersion, and rear-door heat exchanger systems. We validate power distribution to high-density racks including busway, power distribution units, and rack power panels designed for sustained high-draw GPU loads. We run pre-power-on quality checks that catch installation errors before they become equipment incidents.

Colocation: quality failures don't stay contained

Multi-tenant colocation adds a coordination layer that single-tenant builds do not have. When a build-out touches shared infrastructure, or when multiple tenant fit-outs are running simultaneously in a live facility, a quality problem in one suite becomes everyone's problem.

We provide commissioning program management and quality oversight for wholesale colocation operators managing dedicated customer suites and build-to-suit capacity. We also support the owner's representation role during lease negotiations, where the commitments being made need to be grounded in what the facility has actually been tested to do, not in what the design assumed it would do.

For colocation developers, we provide design review with a focus on mechanical and electrical constructability, owner-furnished equipment coordination, and the modular infrastructure strategies that let capacity be delivered in phases without disrupting existing tenants.

Edge and distributed: small footprint, long tail of consequences

Edge sites are smaller, but they are not simpler to commission. When a facility is unmanned or remotely monitored, a defect that slips through to operations means a field service call to a site that may be hundreds of miles from the nearest qualified technician.

We support prefabricated and containerized edge deployments, micro data centers, and distributed infrastructure from 100 kW to 2 MW. We provide rapid deployment commissioning built for sites where the on-site window is short and return visits are not an option. Remote monitoring setup, documentation completeness, and operator training are built into the commissioning scope, not treated as afterthoughts.

For edge deployments built on prefabricated or modular systems, we provide factory acceptance testing oversight before units ship. Finding manufacturing and integration problems while the equipment is still at the factory is a very different cost from finding them after installation on a remote site.
